Dr Sina Yarmohammadi- Geriatrician

Dr. Sina Yarmohammadi is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician. Dr. Sina became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2022 and completed his specialist training at St Vincent’s Hospital health network and Royal North Shore Hospital.

Dr. Sina's goal is to provide holistic patient-centered care to his clients and provide support and information to their families and carers. As a Geriatrician, Dr. Sina looks after a range of medical conditions including cognitive impairments and dementias, behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), delirium, elderly falls, polypharmacy, perioperative assessments, and Advance Care Planning. I am available to review patients in their own place of residence to overcome barriers to accessing aged care services.

He believes the best patient outcomes are achieved through clear communication and collaboration between all stakeholders including but not limited to patients, carers, general practitioners, allied health professionals, and involved specialists.

Dr Hamid Hajian- Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon
Dr. Hajian is a Sydney-based vascular and endovascular surgeon. He is a member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australia and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Hajian also has a Ph.D. in vascular tissue engineering and designing a new generation of biomaterials from the University of Sydney. Hamid is an Australian-trained vascular surgeon. As a specialist in vascular surgery, he is dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients with various acute and chronic conditions affecting the blood vessels and circulatory system. Dr. Hajian has a special interest in providing minimally invasive interventions for patients with peripheral vascular disease, varicose veins, aneurysms, and those who need access to surgery for dialysis or chemotherapy. Dr. Hajian is employed as a vascular surgery consultant at Nepean hospital. He also has private clinical appointments at Macquarie University, Strathfield, and Nepean private hospitals. He performs day procedures for patients with varicose veins at Sydney Skin and Vein Clinic in Chatswood. Dr Misha Sahu- Paediatrician
Dr. Misha Sahu is a Consultant Paediatrician with a breadth of local and international experience.    Dr. Sahu is an advocate for maintaining healthy lifestyles by adopting evidence-based methods. She enjoys supporting and educating families as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood.  Dr. Sahu cares for patients from the newborn stage, encompassing growth, development, and the management of simple and complex childhood illnesses. Upon graduating with Honours from The University of New South Wales, Dr. Sahu completed her Fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Her early paediatric experience was gained at The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. Dr. Sahu then worked in hospitals and private clinics in the expat hub of Dubai, UAE, for ten years, gaining vast experience in treating children and families from diverse backgrounds and cultural expectations. Dr. Sahu treats babies to adolescents, with an interest in:

Dr Adam Berger- Cardiologist
Dr. Adam Berger is a Clinical and Imaging Cardiologist with a cardiac imaging sub-specialty. After Graduating from Medicine with Honours at UNSW in 2003, Dr. Berger completed his physician training at Prince of Wales and Liverpool Hospitals, as well as cardiology training in 2011. He went on to complete an 18-month post-graduate fellowship in cardiac imaging at Prince of Wales Hospital, followed by a 12-month clinical and research fellowship at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, in 2013/14, concentrating on the cutting-edge fields of cardiac CT and MRI, with an emphasis on structural heart interventions. He was appointed a Visiting Medical Officer at Liverpool Hospital in January 2015. Area of interests:
  • Use of multimodality imaging techniques in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease, with particular emphasis on cardiac CT.
  • Transthoracic and Transesophageal echocardiography

Special Interests:
  • He is a Conjoint Lecturer with the UNSW School of Medicine. He is heavily involved with the training and mentorship of students, junior medical officers, and cardiology trainees.
  • Teaching cardiac CT with the Australian Institute of Cardiac Computed Tomography.
Dr Giuseppe Femia- Cardiologist
Dr. Giuseppe Femia is an Interventional and Cardiac Device Cardiologist who graduated from the University Of Sydney Medical School with Honours before completing cardiology training at Wollongong and Liverpool Hospitals. He then completed three further years of sub-specialty fellowship training at Liverpool Hospital in interventional cardiology and cardiac device implantation. He completed his Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Sydney and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow, being mentored by a world-renowned expert in cardiac magnetic resonance. Areas of Interest:

Prof Carlo Pulitano- Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon
About A/Prof Carlo Pulitano Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, and General Surgeon Dr Pulitano is an Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, and General Surgeon in Sydney and holds clinical appointments at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.  He has broad clinical interests and expertise in liver, gallbladder, and pancreas surgery as well as hernia surgery and endoscopy. Dr Pulitano completed an MD degree in Milan where he graduated with Honours. He undertook 6 years of surgical training in Milan (Hospital San Raffaele), Paris (Hospital Beaujon), and Edinburgh (Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh) before obtaining his General Surgical Fellowship in 2010. ​After completing his general surgical training, Dr Pulitano undertook a clinical fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and then completed a PhD at University of Sydney on the complex microcirculation of the liver.  After obtaining his PhD, Dr Pulitano sought more in-depth training in complex surgery, which led him to undertake a second fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Transplantation surgery at the prestigious Toronto General Hospital in Canada.  Following his fellowship in Toronto, he was appointed as a consultant surgeon at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. ​Dr Pulitano has broad clinical interests. Ontologically, he specialises in both primary and secondary liver tumours, stomach, pancreatic and biliary/gallbladder tumours.  He also performs an extensive range of non-cancer related operations for conditions such as gallstone disease and hernias. ​Dr Pulitano is an avid researcher having published more than 130 peer-reviewed articles in the area of liver and pancreas cancers as well as transplantation.  Dr Pulitano is a clinical academic and is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, the Director of RPA Translation Center for Organ Assessment, Repair, and Optimization (COARO), and the Director of Center for Advanced Research in Liver Pancreas and Biliary Surgery (CARLS).  Dr Pulitano’s areas of expertise include:

Dr Gavin Soo- Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Gavin Soo is an Australia Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of NSW, with an interest in advanced arthroscopy in shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, knee surgery, and complex trauma surgery. Dr. Soo received further subspecialty training by completing shoulder and elbow fellowships overseas in France and Switzerland, training under the supervision of internationally renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons. With a passion for trauma surgery, he also completed a trauma and reconstructive surgical fellowship at Charité University Hospital, Berlin, Germany. With this intensive subspecialty training, Dr. Soo is able to offer his patients advanced arthroscopic techniques in the treatment of rotator cuff tears, and shoulder instability, as well as treatment of arthritis, complex fractures, and other less common shoulder and elbow conditions. Dr. Soo is currently employed at St Vincent's Hospital, Darlinghurst as a VMO Orthopaedic surgeon. He is also accredited at the Norwest Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, Waratah Private Hospital, and St Luke's Private hospital. Dr. Soo’s area of expertise include:

Dr Scott Leslie – Urologist
Background: Dr Leslie is a VMO at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Strathfield Private Hospital and the Mater Hospital. He graduated from the University of NSW with honours and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He completed his urological training in 2009 and undertook a two-year fellowship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for urological cancers. Dr Shailja Tewari – Endocrinologist
Background: After finishing MBBS Dr. Shailja Tewari undertook residency and Basic Physicians training at The Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She completed a further three years of Endocrinology Advanced training at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and The Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She was awarded fellowship by the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2007. Dr Tewari has gained varied and comprehensive training and enjoys all aspects of Endocrinology. Dr Arany Nerminathan- Paediatrician
Dr Arany Nerminathan is a graduate of University College London in the UK. She commenced her paediatric specialty training through the London Deanery and subsequently moved to Sydney to complete her paediatric specialist training through The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, predominantly based at Westmead. Dr Nari Ahmadi – Urologist
Dr Nari Ahmadi is a Urological Surgeon with expertise in robotic cancer surgery. Dr Penelope De Lacavalerie – Colorectal and General Surgeon

Dr. De Lacavalerie is a specialist Colorectal and General Surgeon. She has a particular interest in advanced surgical techniques such as laparoscopic (keyhole) transanal and robotic surgery for conditions of the bowel including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, endometriosis and diverticular disease. She also manages other benign anorectal and pelvic floor conditions such as rectal prolapse, anal fissure/fistula, hemorrhoids and functional conditions such as obstructive defecation and faecal incontinence. Her clinical practice includes general and acute surgical conditions such as hernia operations, gallstones and endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopies).

After receiving her Medical qualifications (MBBS). She started her surgical training in London, completing the Intercollegiate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Penelope then relocated to Australia and undertook her specialist general surgical training at Bankstown Hospital, Sydney. She subsequently achieved the Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Following to this, she pursued a Surgeon Scientist career undertaking further studies for a higher degree at the University of New South Wales – Sydney. She is currently writing her Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) dissertation at The Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Dr. D e Lacavalerie subsequently pursued post- Fellowship training with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), receiving further 2 years specialization in advanced colorectal skills in Sydney. Her Colorectal training included Robotic surgery. Dr. De Lacavalerie is passionate about providing holistic care for all her patients and in particular to women with endometriosis and functional problems of the pelvic floor. She collaborates with Gynaecology specialists on a regular basis at Nepean Private Hospital. She is a fully certified specialist in gastroscopy and colonoscopy and she also has experience in performing transrectal ultrasounds, anal manometry and pudendal nerve latency in the management of anorectal and pelvic floor conditions.  
Dr Nicola Jeffery- Urologist
Dr Nicola Jeffery is a Urological Surgeon who completed her medical degree (BSc (Med)/MBBS, Honours Class 1 and The University Medal) at the University of New South Wales in 2008 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS Urology) in 2018.  She completed a further 3 years of fellowship training in her subspecialty interest of reconstructive urology at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh (2018) and at the University College London Hospital (2019 to 2020).  Under the mentorship of world leaders Professor Anthony Mundy and A/Prof Daniela Andrich in London, she gained valuable experience in the management of patients with urethral stricture, urinary incontinence, and complications of prostate cancer treatment. Nicola is approachable, caring, honest, and thoughtful.  She enjoys getting to know each of her patients and working together to find the best possible solution to suit each unique situation.  She provides thorough explanations of disease processes and all the options for non-surgical and surgical treatment. She has consulting rooms in Camperdown and Penrith.  She has a public hospital appointment at Nepean Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and private hospital appointments at Strathfield Private, Macquarie University Hospital, Chris O’Brien Life house, and Nepean Private.
